a little long, but couldn’t just pick a few things from her description to point out
“I have been taking photos since i was fairly young and my friends and family had always said I would be a great photographer. I always kind of laughed it off because I never really saw it until I was an adult. I have taken a few photography courses in college to get a core aspect of essential parts of photography. My favorite part about photography is capturing the inner essence of my subject which is how I deemed my company name. I do all sorts of photography work ranging from objects, landscape, people, and animals. I do photography as a source of income while I’m finishing my double major at Portland State University as a psychology and criminology major before going to law school. Photography brings out my artistic side and abilities out. Photography helps me relax and stop to enjoy the small things in life. Nothing makes me happier than to capture unspoken words about a person, animal or landscape. Just like any profession some parts of photography are more fun than others. My favorite types of photography are pinup also known as brigade. Why pinup you ask? Well you can capture the essence of a woman’s soul with these types of photos. Some tell the story of insure turned beauty, some show strength and power, and some show the wounds of that persons life. Pinups are respectful images of women that dont really show the full nudity of an individual. You can also make these photos as silly, serious or emotional as you wish. You can capture the blessing of mother with child or document weight loss or major chapters in your life. My second favorite part of photography are capturing a child in their purest form and most silly moments. To capture a special memory or occasion for not only the child but for the parents. And my third favorite is the editing of photos. You can make a simple photo look dramatic and a dramatic photo look simple. Not every photo needs editing though, it depends on the story you are trying to tell. I pride myself in good ethical workmanship and when my photos are finished it makes me feel amazing that my art will at some time tell a very special story. I look forward to working with some great people and amazing families. Thank you for relying on me to make your memory a special one.”

She’s selling prints of her “photography”. For the small size, she’s just charging with the points from the site and charging money for larger prints. It looks like she’s also local to me and she has listings for spells too lol.
I’m not asking about if listing there would count for being one, but even though it’s virtual money, it’s still charging for a not that great picture. Or should it mostly be people that provide service and are bad? So like, just someone over all bad, or someone who takes pictures for other people and are bad?
ParticipantIt’s kinda the same of when pregnant woman who is on the heavier side wants to do a cute pose they saw a smaller pregnant woman doing and then not getting the same result. In no way trying to say anything bad to the heavier women, but think about what flatters you, not what the “in style” is. i see far too many, whether the client or photographer’s idea, maternity pictures that just don’t flatter the woman…..here’s an example of what i’m talking about
ParticipantI was browsing one of my local selling groups on facebook and came across this post
“I am a Teacher and Photography is my hobby. I am raising money for our adoption. I am willing to photograph weddings/ senior pictures or family pictures in and around the Portland / Clackamas area for cheap. a full day will cost 120 and a half day will cost 60. I will put all photos on a disk for you to have and print.”
Which i’m just thinking, well that seems like a good reason to go ahead and charge for your hobby. People are seeming interested, not surprised because of the price. I went through the comments to see what people were saying such, it was mostly people just asking about getting pictures done and some people asking for examples. The person doesn’t seem to have a page but she posted some pictures as examples.
After seeing those, i started to think that i’d just rather donate money to her for the adoption if i had money to give her than pay for pictures like that.

Participantso professionals or not…i just have to share this because people need to stop thinking that the baby is in the stocking. i just keep seeing pictures of babies being terrified because their parents and/or photographer is shoving them in a stocking.

the way the lady photographer walked down the aisle bothered me. Just had a feel of “yeah i’m only here for a job, i don’t care about the beauty of the wedding”. though would of been hilarious if she dropped the camera from how she was holding it while walking. my favorite part was at 3:05

it’s the same girl, but i guess she dyed her hair blue. (just pointing out. i have nothing against dyed hair, i’ve had lots of different colors before. my current hair is horribly faded black and pink lol)
since he posts sooo many pictures that aren’t good, he should just change his page to be “a place for me to just give you every picture i take” instead of as a photographer
Participant@iliketag i’ve been around, just haven’t been posting anything lol. nice to know i was missed lol.
i find it really annoying how people think that just because someone says something negative towards them makes them a troll or makes it harassment. when it’s neither.
i do think very few of his pictures could actually be decent if he didn’t have such horrible editing.
because of being lazy, i’ve been doing more editing lately than taking pictures…been having fun with picmonkey’s halloween editing tools. only using it while i’m still looking for my activation code for my main program. but because of my working with editing more right now, his editing style pisses me off even more when i look at it….why would someone want to look black and orange?
any sooo many of his pictures look like they were only taken from the inside of a car. how lazy of a photographer can you be? not even getting out of the car and calling it photography. at least do it through an open window and pretend you got out of the car.
i sometimes worry about getting “called out” for posting to here, 3 people have found out they were posted here that i posted, but only one seemed to know my personal page to call me out of. I have my photography page listed with my profile here, but i’m just a hobbyist and i don’t often take portraits which is what most of these pages(here and facebook pages) make comments about, so i don’t think if my pictures are bad that i’ll get posted on them lol
okay enough ramble on my part
