This isn’t another fauxtog submission, but I thought this was a pretty funny post from “What we should call wedding photography”, especially when there are likes and positive comments on some of the front page-worthy photos that are shared here…

Funny as hell, smh.
December 15, 2013 at 5:10 pm #15766It Makes My Eyes BurnParticipantSomething I came across last night. I can see the creativeness in some of the posing and props, but the rest is just lack of any kind of training. White wrinkled sheet for backdrop, very bright sepia filter (probably from photoshop), green skin tint, plus some props and poses that I just wouldn’t do with kids cause it just looks dangerous.

December 16, 2013 at 2:58 pm #15774MendParticipantWas browsing pinterest for pictures of Gresham, Oregon just because there’s where i live and i was bored..i came across some “photographers”
First found their pin board, but here’s their website and facebook page

https://www.facebook.com/MB.photobugFound this person

I don’t usually comment on their appearance, but lay off the lipliner! Jeez! And they make a tweezers for those eyebrows! Why the two different plaid?
Ok I shouldn’t knock someone for the plaid, I do have a photo of my friend and his son both with clashing plaid shirts but it wasn’t planned at all and we were hiking in the woods and I took a cute picture of them together. Not a professional photo and I think I used it as an example of how not to dress for a photo session… lol
December 17, 2013 at 8:57 pm #15812fstopper89ParticipantNot weird/creepy at all: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=520817127989922&set=pb.191304407607864.-2207520000.1387331300.&type=3&theater

December 17, 2013 at 11:07 pm #15817sethParticipanthmmm didn’t know pros used that GNU stuff.
December 17, 2013 at 11:42 pm #15818fstopper89ParticipantThey don’t. We had that on my work computer (I work in sales/marketing at a small manufacturing company) when I first started and I insisted to my boss that we buy Photoshop. So we ordered Elements 11 and InDesign CS5 from Amazon, and they accidentally sent us the CS5 Suite instead of just InDesign. Score. I attempted Gimp (GMU) and was like WTF is this junk? I also made them buy me a 60D instead of using the Fuji Finepix piece-of-junk for the product photography.
I’m wondering why she’s randomly having fun editing other peoples’ photos.
I think I found the original photog of this flower photo. I did a google search and the first page or two are of this photo with some Islamic writing on it… so looks like it was already stolen by some Muslims and used over and over. Too bad for the original photog. It’s a nice photo. They should have put a bigger watermark on it. http://mylifethroughthelens.deviantart.com/art/A-Time-for-Magic-II-377276625?utm_source=social&utm_medium=all&utm_campaign=062113_soc_Magic
I contacted him and he replied right away that he’s going to report all these images.
December 17, 2013 at 11:46 pm #15819sethParticipantThat was sarcasm 😉
Though doesn’t that program use multiple windows that aren’t enclosed in a large window? Been a long time since I tried that program, we’re talking 8-10 years and I only lasted 30 seconds in it… But maybe that’s her desktop background and she hasn’t opened any actual files to “edit” yet??
December 18, 2013 at 6:41 am #15824cameraclickerParticipantThere are definitely at least two camps. I know people who think Photoshop is it, and people who have no use for Adobe but think GIMP is best. There are also many who are considering migrating since Adobe announced their move to a subscription billing model. Paint Shop Pro is sometimes advocated too. Businesses pay for software with pre-tax dollars, so it will be interesting to see how it all works out.
I haven’t learned enough of GIMP to use it efficiently but I have seen others use it to do all the same editing I do with Photoshop. It has the power and requires the same effort to learn.
December 18, 2013 at 12:08 pm #15828cassieParticipantSeth is right, she doesn’t have a file open for editing right. She just had that image set as her desk top image. And like CC stated, you can pretty much do in GIMP what you can in Photoshop. Some of the stuff you have to download and add in plug ins but for the main part it’s all there. I would rather have Photoshop but I just finished paying for my second born child and have the coming one to pay for.
December 18, 2013 at 5:57 pm #15830alexandraParticipantHere’s one:
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Erin-Elizabeth-Boegel-Photography/585678944778103I honestly think this boudoir album should be renamed to “butts” or something (caution, kinda NSFW):
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.718060028206660.1073741845.585678944778103&type=3
but with that I wanted to bring up – the caption says that “faces have been removed for personal reasons”. Usually, when someone asks not to post their photos online, you don’t post them online, not crop off their head… -
