Looking through the forums at dicksforeyes post, they are rude, condescending, and mean! But at the same time its just an opinion (maybe) fact. I dont understand why people get so butt hurt about him and his posts. I actually joined the forum for him, lol. Hoping he’d rip my photography apart so i can say “fuck you dicksforeyes, i’ll show you!” Instead he gave me a compliment (i think, lol) It should be taken as motivation and a chance to learn really. Id rather have some a-hole on this website talk shit than to bring my work into someone to judge and they say basically the same thing. Then your embarrassed and would probably want to quit at what you’re doing. I think he also adds an entertainment value to the forum as well. Maybe i’m just crazy 🙂
deztheninjaParticipantTry not using your zoom and use a prime lens if possible. It makes you think a lot more. Im going to also look into some light modifiers myself.
deztheninjaParticipantThey are a little over exposed and to “warm” for me, but other than that i like the overall look and feel of them.
deztheninjaParticipantThanks for the feedback. The shots that are under exposed was kinda hard for me that day. It was really overcast but still extremely bright out. I’ll see what i can do to correct those if possible and repost before and afters. And the one in hong kong (the last link) was with a “fisheye” adapter i bought when we pulled into port. I also found a website describing those techniques (split/loop lighting) here’s the link for anyone else out there with the same “problem” http://digital-photography-school.com/6-portrait-lighting-patterns-every-photographer-should-know
deztheninjaParticipantnever mind, i got it lol!
deztheninjaParticipantI actually think they are underexposed too. I just put some up to show the bride what i got. But what are plebs?
deztheninjaParticipantlol, my bad. PLEEEASE!!!! 🙂
deztheninjaParticipantand any suggestions or feedback is more than welcome
