Ok I’ve decided to share this at last. I know the guy as he is my friends, cousins, fiance….yeah I don’t know him well but I do know him if you get me. He is a proven fauxtographer in so much as he recently did a shoot of someones dogs for them for £50. When the client saw the photos they then refused to pay him and said they could have taken better shots with a P&S camera. I’d have to agree….
I’m not saying it’s easy to photograph animals, but if you are going to advertise the service, be good at it! I can’t do it so I don’t advertise myself as being able to. Just like I don’t advertise myself for weddings, I can’t do them well and I’d rather leave it to the people who can.
Anyway, check out the link https://www.facebook.com/X9Photography
May 18, 2013 at 3:10 pm #9816Tomservo51ParticipantThis guy is a nut. Typos, bad grammar, and he contradicts his other website about who will see the photos! http://www.intimate-fotos.co.uk/page5.html FYI, parts of this site contain nudity my not be SFW
May 18, 2013 at 3:34 pm #9818picarusslimParticipantOh my lord! There’s plug sockets in the background of some of those shots. He charges £20 for an hour!!!! I suppose you get what you pay for…
May 18, 2013 at 4:43 pm #9821iliketagParticipant@Thomas That guy screams scam artist! (The foto-folio guy) He has the advantage of having a lock on very simple domain names that can be grabbed by search engines easily. I think that’s what pisses me off most. The exposure to a clientele is huge and he is freaking terrible! How can people pay for this nonsense?
I will be 100% honest, these shots give me more confidence in myself that I’m providing my “clients” with a great product. I still have tons of room to learn and grow, but it does make me feel better about my abilities. On the other hand, it makes me feel really sad for the people receiving these shots! Family and friends may say “Hey, great picture!” but when comparing it to the duck lips, cockeyed angles and peace signs of a self taught myspace photographer, yeah, it looks better… but it’s still not a quality image!
May 18, 2013 at 8:16 pm #9829fstopper89ParticipantMatt Exnine Photography is horrible, and I’m not surprised the client refused to pay. I also do not have experience doing pet portraits so I wouldn’t advertise myself for hire for that genre. A girl in my town does some really nice pet portraits and I’d totally pay her if that was what I was looking for.

I stumbled across his page today. I just have no words.
May 20, 2013 at 7:58 am #9845Worst Case ScenarioParticipantWow that guy sucks! But he might actually have some decent shots under all the crap effects. This one is my fav, take a look at the awful clone job on the buildings and poles. It must have taken him 5 mins to do… When just cropping the pic properly would have taken seconds!
May 20, 2013 at 10:46 am #9848ConcernedParticipantThey look like mannequins!!
Why aren’t people honest?

May 20, 2013 at 2:32 pm #9854photocriticgirlParticipantHere are two “fauxtographers” I have come across.
https://www.facebook.com/photochanel?ref=ts&fref=ts
He has half of a head!
Because every couple wants a picture like this:
Or this “fauxtographer”
https://www.facebook.com/louisemariephotography?fref=ts
This is just terrible:
I can’t believe someone paid for this! Senior picture?! They’re horrible.
May 20, 2013 at 2:53 pm #9856ThomasParticipant@ browneyedgirl Glad you agree, why advertise for something you clearly cant do, I actually found out more about the unpaid shoot from my friend on Saturday. He actually turned up with dead batteries AAs mind, god knows what camera he is using, I think its a fuji bridge. He had to ask my friends dad if he had some!
@Tomservo 51 & picarusslim – incredible isnt it, never ceases to amaze that people will pay for this crap!
@tslrgj8288 & worst case scenario – facepalm! that is all for that guy!@ concerned shocking, and so manynice comments? “beautiful” ….wtf!
May 20, 2013 at 3:04 pm #9857ConcernedParticipant@Thomas… right??? This stuff is awful!!!
May 20, 2013 at 3:05 pm #9858Tomservo51Participant@photocriticgirl, Are you saying you don’t like this photo?
Joking aside, I think there is hope for this lady. Some of her compositions aren’t bad. She just needs to work on exposure, lighting and overcooked PP. Ok, so everything.
May 20, 2013 at 3:27 pm #9861ThomasParticipant@Photocriticgirl. – I hope people dont hate me here for saying this but I think both of those photographers have some okay images. Ive seen far far worse in these forums. Obviously they both need improvement, the worst thing is Photo Chanel’s bit on the front page about being a worldwide famous photographer. Got to give it to her for optimism though….lol
May 20, 2013 at 3:36 pm #9862photocriticgirlParticipant@tomservo51, which girl?
I think they’re both awful.
