This guy goes to my college… we actually have a number of good headshot photographers on campus, so I don’t know why he decided to enter the market. He consistently misses white balance and his photos are just crap. Big Boy…  I’m originally from that area and have never heard of him.  I call shenanigans, too.  Next time I’m in town, I’m going to have to check out this “studio.”

But “diguest,” “portfilio,” numorous,” etc…  I understand not everyone can spell but REALLY!?  There is no excuse this day in age to have all that mess.  Spell check is so easy.  Just copy the text from your website and put it into any word document creator and you get all the red squiggly lines… if you don’t have it built into your browser already!

Not even counting the typos, no last names, only one staffer has a pic – come on, you’re supposed to be PHOTOGRAPHERS – and that one pic on there is nowhere near that of a professional, the “studio manager” doesn’t even have a first name on there and “is very good at what she does…”  What does she do…?  Suck??  It’s absolutely ridiculous!!

If you want to find fauxtogs simply navigate to the “creative” section of Craigslist, it’s literally fucking littered with ’em.

There’s a Fleamarket here; and there’s a woman who runs this one particular table.. Well, she has a booth, in a fleamarket for one.. Dirt floor, a green screen wrapped around two post, wrinkled to shit,  loosely hung with a simple single metal fold up chair sitting approximately 6″ from the green screen and the green screen is full of holes and filthy as shit… The green screen is well lit by tungsten, led and ambient light with nicely defined harsh shadows..

The camera? It’s a point and shoot looked like an old powershot G, dunno..

However: The sign is something something professional photo studio 🙂

This is a fauxtog with no shame ;p

Crystal-clear images that jump off the page? Like this big banner photo? http://www.bigboy-photography.com/senior-photos/ Maybe I need another eye exam. Oh wait, everything else is clear to me.

In the Head Shots gallery, the photo of “Sarah” wearing the pink sweater and blond hair http://www.bigboy-photography.com/head-shots/ That stupid fake brick backdrop has to go. Reminds me of a restaurant my family used to go to that was remodeled in the early 70s and had that faux brick… they just totally remodeled it last year again and got rid of that crap. I don’t usually pick on clients but Sarah has a totally 90s hairstyle and crappy box dye job and this photo does not flatter her at all. It appears she may have a hair-thinning condition and I think there would have been better ways to do a headshot that did not show the very top of her head and accentuate her thinning hair. The image of Terena with the goofy red floral background (which looks just like my table placemats, by the way) is such an awful photo. Her expression is unflattering and probably halfway to a smile.  All those headshots are so flat and some have odd shadows.

On the models page:

Sorry but not only does that sound ridiculous having a tall girl who is 5’10” wear a dress size of 1-2, clearly, in her photos she has average proportions and is not a stick figure, though she’s on the thin side. She probably wears pants size 6-8 with those proportions. Maybe they meant to type 5’1″ tall. But someone that short probably would not wear an 8.5 shoe. Just my opinion. I’m 5’3″ and my dress size is 4-6 (pants 1-3, but actual dress sizes are like 2 sizes larger than pants sizes, if they’re legitimately going off of that) and I have a thinner build. Not everyone is proportioned the same but I’m looking at her photos. Point being, I think it’s a bunch of BS.

Here’s another model’s bio: “Elizabeth is Better known as Liz to her friends. I started working with her in February of 2010. She started out wanting to be a model and turned into a great one. Then she desided she wanted to be a photographer At that time I started teaching her to do more and more photography and getting away from the modeling. She has an eye for what is good and what is not. She is Very Good with a camera and most likely better than a lot of Photographers in St. Louis who claim to be photographers. She also has an eye for design. Can’t wait till she Guradates from School so she can spend more time working in the photography field. I thing that one day she will be a premier Photographer.”

^ How many Times can one person Use Random capital Letters in one Paragraph? The whole thing is laughable too, she is “better than a lot of photogs who claim to be photogs” ok like you? lol

More models. Ok again not to rip on clients but this chick has no business modeling, at least not those kind of outfits! For crying out loud they couldn’t even zip up the prom dress on her so they just left it open. And I think some of these qualify as indecent public exposure.
