I’m so glad I discovered this forum.
Some of the photos that have been linked in this topic are amazing compared to some that I have seen lately.

June 2, 2014 at 12:06 am #18914sethParticipantUgh I hate hate hate, more than any other fauxtog “technique,” the faked shallow dof. It annoys me so much, it never ever never looks real. Is it really so danged hard to buy a cheap 1.8 something lens???

and seth what you think of this ‘fake zoom/depth of field’? I don’t understand what these people are doing either.
June 2, 2014 at 8:49 pm #18930illekkenobiParticipantThese are from a girl that attempted to charge my husband’s band for the crappiest photos of them ever!! These are the ones she tried to charge for.

and this is the rest of her “photography”. I know quite a few bands in the area that actually paid her.

June 4, 2014 at 11:06 am #18990cameraclickerParticipantI think I would keep looking. There a lot of distressed pixels at HRIMAGERY.
I liked the way this one was presented though. Look at the ads that came up with the photo!

Clearer vision, and pain treatment!
June 6, 2014 at 7:43 pm #19068anonymoususerParticipantI knew the pics looked a little weird cameraclicker but I couldnt honestly figure out what was wrong with them as I am not a photographer lol maybe you can tell me why I don’t like this one either everyone else seems to love her work and I am all like ummm not really https://www.facebook.com/ChristinaLeeChildsPhotography
June 7, 2014 at 12:46 am #19079sethParticipantFaked dof, over processing of skin, no concept of lighting whatsoever…
June 9, 2014 at 10:00 am #19113Worst Case ScenarioParticipantHere’s an odd one! This page has portraits like this
and wedding pics like this

Seth has identified three of the problems. In addition to no concept of lighting, whatsoever, I would add no concept of where to focus, either! Also, no care in post processing. The one I noted previously had lots of red eye. Nothing like a photo of people with glowing red eye and an advertisement for “Clearer Vision”
June 9, 2014 at 5:53 pm #19120wtfParticipantJune 9, 2014 at 6:40 pm #19122EyeDocPhotogParticipanton her about page (FB) she indicates:
The only things I do not feel comfortable with at this time are weddings and newborns.
Yet, you can book a 60 minute Newborn shoot for a fee.
