We really should have a word for that in English.
We do. It’s “schadenfreude”. :o)September 26, 2013 at 1:42 pm #13347
A link from Heartfelt Fauxtography’s page: http://www.buzzfeed.com/ariellecalderon/reasons-you-should-never-reenact-pinterest-photosSeptember 26, 2013 at 2:38 pm #13348FauxFightersParticipant
Yea unlike the Useless Moments Photography, Heartfelt seems to be an actual photographer who doesn’t realize what “fauxtography” is, but is definitely pulling it off.September 26, 2013 at 3:02 pm #13349
I’m from The Ville aka Louisville. Where we are the Cardinals.
What the Hell is that baby on?????????????????
What the HellSeptember 26, 2013 at 3:05 pm #13350

I think the black board ones are quite a good idea.September 26, 2013 at 4:36 pm #13356joehomeownerParticipant
Affordable Wedding Photography! Spot color and all right in the ad! Great stuff!
$460 wedding album! Oh man! Look at that! WOW! I’m in awe… of how terrible it is.
Bad color temp, lens flare, blown out highlights, and just poor exposure – these folks do it all for you!September 26, 2013 at 7:55 pm #13360
Cute Moments has a few where focus was missed. A few minutes of cleaning up and that will be a pretty cool portfolio. They nailed a lot more than they missed and apparently they know how to edit too.
BTW, they have a real web page too. And they charge. It takes $180 to book a session, refundable if your order hits $600. They say “My clients are usually investing between 600 and 1500 per photo session.”
It looks like Facebook is their “junk drawer”. The portfolio on their web page is clean and easy to navigate. Sorry, msbitch2468, Cute Moments is not a fauxtographer.September 26, 2013 at 9:23 pm #13362BCLCParticipant
Ok So I just had a look at Monkeying Around and it seems she now has an assistant Named Marissa Smith, although when you go to her profile she has a gender of a he and shehe only just joined facebook this person has some serious issues. Why go to such extremes??September 26, 2013 at 9:28 pm #13363FauxFightersParticipant
^Yes I would completely agree with you CC. Cute Moments has a bit of a sappy/cliche name, and one or two of their photos are a bit ugh. But, most of their stuff is quite sharp, exposed well and appropriately lit. Also the chalkboard shows some artistic talent, an original (at least to me) idea and something that is much safer to do than hanging babies in baskets. Additionally I saw no fake vignetting, spot coloring, etc.
So yea, they do not belong in this discussion.September 26, 2013 at 10:35 pm #13364fstopper89Participant
The only major problem I saw with Cute Moments was their boring, cliche, faux-ish name. Their stuff it technically good for the most part and well-executed. I like the chalkboard. I haven’t seen that done before. Mzbitch isn’t even a photographer.
Monkeying Around is going to crazy extremes. She took a blurry photo of some religious drawing and captioned it “wow I am amazing at taking pictures!”September 27, 2013 at 2:38 am #13379nesgranParticipant
I wonder if monkeying around put up those last baby photos just to poke fun at us or if she was serious with themSeptember 27, 2013 at 3:10 am #13381BillParticipant
She has a new web-page now. http://jmommy2012.wix.com/masp2012#!portraits/ckiy
Sadly, most of the traffic will probably come this site.
I love her quote on her “Documentary” page
Being a Photography has tought me a lot about Live.. & What I can get on a Camera..September 27, 2013 at 3:13 am #13383snaphappyParticipant
Apparently “Marissa” from Monkeying loves her new job answering phone all day at Monkeying. I can’t imagine it is ringing too often. Also, under the recommendations they both gave themselves 5 stars because they are just THAT good. That whole “business” is a joke.September 27, 2013 at 1:38 pm #13408
I don’t know about this.
