Professional sports photographer for 10 years. Credentialed by MLB. NCAA & the NFL. I love this site... a source for much enjoyment and it always humors me (and a lot of other pros) when we see work from the "self-annointed professional" sports shooters using Walmart cameras and "kit" lenses. Even better when those individuals are actually taking money from parents to produce images that look like they were shot with their camera phone... Now, don't get me wrong, I am one of the FIRST to offer advice and education to those who ask me... It's the folks who show up at an event with consumer gear, don't know the rules/etiquette of professional sports photography and vocally talk about how "awesome" their work is and how those who has invested in the proper equipment and education are "overcharging" when they, in their own vocalized opinion, "can get the same shots" (except blurry and yellow-ish) and produce "really neat editing effects" using (insert free editing software title here). There should be a section of this site titled, "YouAreNotASportsPhotographer" - you're a parent with a camera (PWC).
