Ok, please feel free to give thoughts/constructive criticism on some of my stuff. Will say that I feel my sports stuff is stronger than portraits.

Your sports stuff is good, your portrait stuff lacks composition. The one with the girl on the bridge looking over her shoulder? Her face should be brighter. The girl on the ice, her face should be edited. The first thing I see is her acne. Due to the stark whiteness of the image, the first thing my eye goes to is her face, and the acne, while it isn’t bad, is blatantly noticeable. The football player, the lighting is too harsh. You can see the actual redness in his face, and it makes me hot to just view the image. And not in a good way lol. The shadow down the bridge of his nose makes his nose even more pronounced.

Maybe I wouldn’t say I’m very worried about being a faux, but I certainly think I have learning that needs to occur– never fully sold on my post-processing, think my posing could use some work, etc.
Thought this might be a decent avenue, as based off of comments left, I generally feel that a majority of the readers of the site don’t totally have their heads up their butts.

Portrait stuff does need work. No way are you in the fauxtog category. I saw most of your problems were in the skin tone. Might need to use a grey card to measure the light intensity outside. I also saw that according to the shadows you were shooting around 5 or 6. Good time, but you may need to concentrate on some shade on some of those photos.
Also, you may need to calibrate your monitor with you images. That could be an issue with the washed out reds.
While you shouldn’t quit portraits, it looks like your niche may be in sport action. May want to concentrate more on it and become even better. Have some friends who make a lot of money on just sport action photos.

Your seniors are pretty good. On a couple I would’ve used a reflector, scrim, or fill flash to soften the light. You were using angles for good composition, and clearly know wtf you’re doing.
You have no reason to be posting here. Your pictures will never be seen on the front page of this site. If you want more valuable CC, I don’t think this is the site. People come here to gawk at tremendously bad photographers. You are not even close to one.
