Do you charge already? if you do, you’re already a pro.  Charge a dollar for a photo, you’ve made financial return. Therefore, you’re a pro.

    2

    b : having a particular profession as a permanent career <a professionalsoldier>

    3
: following a line of conduct as though it were a profession <a professional patriot>

Some shots I really, really like.  Some shots, not so much.

As dont.care pointed out, being a professional is about charging, not about quality.

    I agree with cameraclicker…

You have some really good shots mixed with a bunch of mediocre shots…

    For example…

    You have this one: https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/64207_612526935443585_1560452920_n.jpg
(which is pretty good, minus a bit of post-processing that it needs)

and followed by that you have: https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/14004_612526925443586_119512598_n.jpg

Pick the photos you share to your clients and potential clients more carefully. Make sure that every picture you post you are proud of and would deliver.

    Love this photo: https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/65517_599098016786477_607132759_n.jpg

Oh, and one more little thing,

    https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/424870_570421516320794_197362546_n.jpg

In this one she’s looking to her left but the negative space is to the right… Negative space should usually be in the direction the person/subject is facing and/or looking… good photo though 🙂

I’ve been making a living  from  photography for over 30 years. BUT I never call my self a professional photography. The people who see my work should be able to tell that I know what I’m doing. From my experience  the people who make a big thing of calling them selves a PROFESSIONAL are usually  crap at photography but think it makes them sound better. I once bought a toothbrush that had the word Professional printed down it WTF?

As for you work, it’s pretty good and a lot better than a lot of “pros” that I’ve seen.
