That’s what Seth said, I think. I haven’t put that much thought/research into it. If Eddie is the “robot guy” it is a brilliant ploy. If he is not, he has still helped “robot guy” by getting another link to his page posted here.

Guestnah. i am still here. I used a made up email so I wouldn’t get hit everytime this is updated. I’m neither of those people… but if I were, you are right. It would be genius for Eddie as every website he is on has been posted here by me. You’re welcome Eddie. That’s wrap on me guys. This was fun but I think the conversation has exhausted itself. One last thing, why would Eddie post on here when his work has been featured on here two times? Again, using your real name, not smart… unless he is an evil genius. Now everyone get back to work!

ParticipantSince I joined an “Amateur/ Beginner Photographers” group on Facebook my page suggestions have been hysterical. This one is the most recent and definitely one of the worst. Boudoir fauxs are a certain kind of special, aren’t they?

GuestI am so glad that I found this site. It has been very entertaining to say the least. I never knew that there was a website full of people that share the same frustrations that I do about these fauxtogs. It makes me mad that these people are on Facebook posing as legit businesses sans the Tax ID, license, etc, passing this crap off for quality work, they charge next to nothing and yet they still manage to get numerous likes and business. I have been completely floored when I go into these Facebook yard sale groups and these fauxtogs are advertising away, and people are actually thinking this is good stuff. I mean seriously people?! It seems the general public in many Florida sites I have visited like this quality and love the $30 session price. I tell you, I thought I saw it all until one group had a lady advertise that she was a professional photographer from New York (JC Penney studio was her old gig) that just moved to the area and she is broke. She said that she does not have a computer nor a website to showcase her work but to trust her that she is good. She was wondering if anyone was willing to hire her to use YOUR camera and YOUR memory card to take family portraits. And because she does not have a computer, she cannot edit the photos so you would just have to do that yourself and all of her “services” would only cost you $50. OMG I could not believe the response she had!! A bunch of people came out of the woodwork saying that they would be interested. I am completely floored at that moment, and couldn’t even put words to how I felt. Well, someone beat me to it and commented so all you are doing is pushing the shutter button on someone else’s equipment and want $50 to do this? People beware !! Then of course I chimed in warning these idiots to remember you get what you pay for, you are taking this girls word, she doesn’t even own a computer nor is offering a portfolio to view. Don’t be surprised when you check that memory card (YOURS!! LOL) at the end of the shoot, and you are sorely disappointed and out 50 bucks. I also said with all the talented photographers that are legit and advertise in this room, you all are getting excited over this post? How pathetic!! Well, my comment must have touched the nerve of one lady, who claimed to be a pro photographer and she told me she was a pro and this post didn’t bother her. I responded that as a pro photographer, you should be PISSED! This kind of crap should make you so incredibly mad! These posers are flooding our market with CRAP and making everyone accept CRAP as QUALITY! Then the admin deleted the post. I am still floored to this day over that one! I can’t stand fauxtographers. I hope every single one of them get caught for operating a business without the proper credentials and not paying proper taxes.

This person advertises frequently in many different Facebook rooms that I have been in.
Her pictures are frequently out of focus and the colors are horrible.
I truly do not think that she really does anything in the way of editing. For the most part I think she is just transferring the JPEG right to Facebook and thats it. If you look at her timeline, every other picture post is sideways. That is not very professional! Rotate them before you upload for crying out loud!
The skin tones are flat and most look like the person is on their deathbed. She doesn’t even adjust to fix the faces that are so dark because she shot them in full shade and did not use any sort of fill flash. In edition to these pictures being out of focus, most have a horrible grain to them. The props and the special effects are horribly overdone.
What really disturbs me is that there is a little toddler posing on railroad tracks!!! I know the general area this fauxtog is from, and can guarantee that these are active railroad tracks! MY GOD SO DANGEROUS AND RECKLESS AND ILLEGAL!
I don’t know why this woman is still getting business with her work being obviously horrible. Her pictures are terrible! I don’t think that there is one good one that I can find on her whole page. I can’t believe that this woman gets paid to produce this stuff!! And I am not trying to be mean by posting this, but come on, this crap is so frustrating and people like this should be shut down.

ParticipantI usually don’t post other photog’s links on here, but I had to do this as an exception.
It’s not just one photog, it is a series that I thought was very interesting. I love cars, trucks and heavy metal machines, so this fits right in with my type of genre.
If you look beyond the basic faux photos that are mostly just, meh, most of these photos lack one key thing, the proper set-up when using props.
Now this web site is basically just girls working on cars the wrong way, but in almost every photo, there is one underlying element that the photographer missed, the props and what the model is doing with them.
Goes to show, that you really need to do a little research before just shooting away on beautiful girls.

GuestUgh this person. It’s all over-exposed at times with harsh shadows. It’s like somebody bought a DSLR and a flash gun and just started going to events without learning to use them. Probably all Auto.
