  1. Luckily, that horrid background will crop out. Nonetheless, the composition and lighting are horrid.

  2. So what’s wrong with that? At least it wasn’t up on blocks LOL.

  3. ok – so it is a guy’s wedding ring with a car on a trailer behind it….

Not really trying to defend – since cropping would have fixed it – but with it being that obvious – Maybe, just maybe – there is a story that they were trying to tell with the photo… other than I don’t know what I’m doing and this DOF thing works kinda cool…

Maybe the guy died? and the car on the trailer had something to do with it?

I’ve never done a ring photo with just one ring – of course that may make me the idiot or this person…

Bubba and Cindy Lou is proud to announce their upcoming weddin. They’s gettin hitched and Morts Wrecking Yard on Route 6 this Saturday before Cindy Lou starts to show

    • Cash instead of gifts is best so we’s can get a bride’s ring.

      • Make sure the cash is quarters so they’ll fit in the slots, though.

Tokens and slugs work as well, the machine at WalMart takes them too according to BillyJoeJimBob, Bubbas mothers brothers second cousin , twice removed.

      • Oh my godness you knows BillyJaoeJimBob?

  5. I’m in love with my car …..

  6. That’s not a ring; it’s a spare wheel.

    Maybe he’s marrying his car?

  8. But they converted it to black and white, so now it’s art.

  9. BurninBiomass

Perhaps the car is being taken to the pawn show in trade for the ring…

  10. If my suspicions are correct, and that is a Cadillac Cimarron, this picture just got 10 times more white-trashy.

where should I start>? the terrible shadows, the crappy black and white, the background ?? I could have taken a better picture with my eyes closed on my phone! and my phone doesn’t even have a camera! lol….. what was the point to this picture again?

  12. In risking my own ridicule, I’m actually going to say I almost kind of like it. It’s certainly different. What whitetrash bride could want more?

  13. Margaret

    I actually like this pic!

  14. This picture is definitely intentional and intended to tell a story. Sadly all the snark artists commenting on it reveal how little they know about photography.

Ok…..I’ll buy the lie you are selling about there being a back story. But, I have found this page and you just can’t explain away all of the other crap on it. There is a picture of the wedding dress hanging up….and you can see the hand holding it over the balcony and there is luggage in the background. I mean…come on. And it looks like the rest of the wedding pictures were taking in a parking lot with the subjects facing directly into the harsh, direct sunlight.

      • I’m only looking at this pic. It’s taken in bright sunlight, so not a lot that can be done about the shadows. But they don’t really stand out to me in the image. I’m curious as to why they chose that trailer with the car in the background. Seem slike there must be some meaning to it.

Or maybe you’re right and they just wanted to play with selective focus on a wide open aperture but would accept anything in the background as acceptable.

    • Just because something tells a story doesn’t mean it’s a good picture. That’s only part of what can make a good photograph. There is no excuse for the horrendous lighting issues here.

      • Really? Perhaps the shadows could be adjusted a bit but what is it you think you are going to see in them. How would you account for them if you took the shot at high noon? Maybe you could use some reflectors but I just don’t see what you would be gaining by illuminating the shadows. the subject of the picture is elsewhere.

Someone’s gettin’ HITCHED! hahahaha sorry couldn’t help myself.

  16. What we don’t know is the story of WHY the photo was done in this fashion. I’ve don’t a ton of shots where I went “WTF”, at the clients request, only for THAT one to be the one that pays the bills at the end of the month.

  17. It kind of looks like the car and the trailer are doin’ it.
