Worst Case ScenarioParticipant
I tried it on the family last night, everyone saw it in the same light and on the same screen. Two saw blue/black, two saw white/ gold? I know very well that putting a strong colour next to paler one, will make you see the opposite strong colour on the paler one. However, the vivid black/blue that I saw were not opposite colour to the white gold?????
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantOkay. this is weird! I just opened it on my laptop and it’s white and gold, but this morning I saw black and blue. So I assumed it must be a difference in screens. BUT I just asked my daughter and see says it’s STILL blue and black.
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantWell, there are two of us in my office at the moment, and we both see Blue and black. And like picstop says above the original image is a nice cream colour.
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantI now have a flat rate of £70 an hour for EVERYTHING I do.
ie: My wedding packages are based on so many hours at £70, my portrait sittings are based on half an hour and if they take longer, I charge more ( at the same rate) My commercial work and post processing is all at the same rate. This rate is based on the maximum I can charge, for where I am. In London I’d be cheap, for a country town I’m quite expensive.
I know guys in my area who would charge more, and guys who would do it for free : ( There’s a studio down the road who will do a portrait sitting with all images on a disc for £25. ( I’ve posted their work on here, that’s how good they are) . I know that’s not much help! But at least by having a fixed price, I can answer the phone and tell people EXACTLY what my prices are….
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantThe shots of your niece are well focused and have mostly the right colour and exposure. Apart frame the metal gate the backgrounds are okay and the general composition is fine. But the poses are unflattering and she doesn’t look comfortable in any of them.
Learn posing….. and that rusty old car looks like it would have a great background, but you can hardly see it.
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantI LIKE COLOUR! And I think your colour is okay, but everything looks a little flat. There’s no pure white or strong black shadows.
I don’t know the programs you mentioned, so I can’t tell how techy you are with the post processing, but it’s an easy fix in photoshop ( though it will give the colour a boost!)
If I was a landscape photographer, I’d be using LAB colour methods. You can do amazing stuff in LAB mode if you don’t have to be perfectly accurate with the colour.
i.e.: no one will mind if the sky is not the right shade of blue, but if you get the wrong shade of white on a wedding dress, your the devil incarnate.
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantLooks great to me!
If had to find fault in it…… I assume so is holding a (her) heart? It might be good to make that a little clearer. it won’t be easy, but maybe if you could see a little more of it? Or put a some more medical references into it. You can hardly see the bandages.
I know guys who would say that her hands are to big and you should have used a longer lens to compensate for that, but I actually prefer it as it is.
I’d be proud to have made this.
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantExcellent work here, love the way you got rid of that fake looking elk and replaced the background with a more natural looking setting.
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantYou can give a Faux the best kit in the world and they will still blame their equipment for taking a crap picture.
A good photographer will always be able to take a better pic then a faux and use what ever is available to make it even better.
February 2, 2015 at 6:07 am in reply to: Feedback needed for my new wedding and portrait photography website #24789Worst Case ScenarioParticipantYou website is like your photography*, it’s almost okay!
* Assuming I am looking at YOUR photography.
I’m also assuming that English is not your first language? I only glanced at the text and I saw lots of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. The picture consistency was very poor and a lot of pics looked like they were taken over the shoulder of the pro? If these are the shots that are so good that you can use them to advertise your business, then the rest must be pretty poor.
The celebrities page stood out as it’s headline reads
A Sexy Photo Shoot with Three Amazing Divas
But there are only pics of two!
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantI like the little avatar shot of you the best! Sorry if you didn’t take it. That shot has much more personality than any of the others.
Also, are you going for the wishy black look or is your monitor way to contrasty?
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantI’ve been running a studio and making a living as a photographer for the last 35 years, so some may think my opinion is worth having…………
Seriously dude! 16!!!!!!!!! I’m gobsmacked by your work!
There’s never been a picture taken that you can’t pull apart critics after and yours are just the same, but overall your great pics far out weigh the bad. Looking at you home page, I see 4 shots that aren’t up to par. I haven’t counted the total on the page, it looks like about 60? So 4 that aren’t as good as the others is nothing to worry about.
Knowing that you were 16 before clicking the link, left me a bit uneasy when I saw how professional your page looked. I sort of felt that a 16 year old setting up a business was a bad thing, almost like you were conning your customers? But when I looked at your work, I started thinking ” Well why not?” There’s plenty of fauxs out there who really are conning the public, so a 16 year old who knows what he’s doing is good.
I’d like to help you get even better, I’m in the UK so you’re far enough away to not be competition! Just ask……..
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantNothing quite as sexy as an old pair of knickers and some worn out shoes
Why do faux’s always post pics of their props?
Copyright infringement anyone?
How come the cake hasn’t slipped of the table?
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantNot much wrong here!
If it was my shot, I’d probably boost the blacks a bit and darken the shadow side of the face, but that’s just me.
I would say you look better with out the tash!
Worst Case ScenarioParticipantAnd another one!
Poor amputee……
such a happy time of year…..
Check out the logo. Yep, it’s NOT upside down!!!!
Ahhhhh, he’s giving his amputee girlfriend a piggy back…
errrrrrrrrrr…….
