Shaugn1Participant
I had to add this fauxtog because not only is their Facebook page littered with horrible cut out images on super imposed backgrounds, but their Valentines Day ad contains an image stolen from Amazon!!! What are these people thinking??
and here is the Amazon Ad-

Shaugn1ParticipantI nominated Lacare Photography way back when for her horrendous mermaid themed shoot! She lives in the same town as me and is a friend of a friend. Her entire page is mostly blurry iPhone shots of her own pets and a few photoshop tutorials that she has shared ( although she claims to not use photoshop because she doesn’t want her clients to look fake.) she has also now started a Lacare Photography nature facebook page which is almost exclusively pictures of animal that she saw one day at the zoo…
Shaugn1ParticipantWow…I kind of feel bad for her!
Shaugn1ParticipantMost of her “clients” appear to be her friends and family. No need to be jealous, I am quite sure she will be no longer in business a year from now.
Shaugn1ParticipantWait wait one more!!! Because this absolutely needed a watermark-
Shaugn1ParticipantSo someone on a local mom’s group page put up the old “need a photographer, last minute, cheap…” and the fauxtogs came out of the woodworks. It is truly amazing how many stay at home moms in my area have decided to become “photographers” overnight. Here is a few of my favorites-
Because nothing says “fauxtog” like two baby monkeys in a giant flower. Only some selective coloring could have made this photo worse.
She may have done a little retouching here…
PLANKING BABY!
And then there is this gem…

60 dollars for how many pictures? All? How many is that?
For 60 dollars she will put tinsel on your child’s head and photography them with her iPhone! Fantastic!
This rabbit is going to give me nightmares.
Shaugn1ParticipantAnd I would love to know exactly which images she spent 4-12 hours editing!
Shaugn1ParticipantOkay, so I have a Fauxtog of the year award to give out here…This is a friend of a friend who bought a camera and decided to quit her job and become a full time freelance photographer. I have no qualms with anyone who has a dream or wants to learn more about photography, but this girl is just so arrogant it drives me nuts! She is constantly bugging people to “like” her page, posting updates about her photography “biz”, and makes comments on her own work like “this belongs in a magazine!” What makes matters worse is she is HORRIBLE at photography!! Her images are noisy, out of focus, and underexposed and she charges $200 for a sitting fee. I honestly cannot imagine anyone hiring her. Here is some examples of what I am talking about-
Oh, did I mention she hired people to dress up as mermaids for a shoot? Also, I love the comment here-
And the best part about this last one is that I saw the mom of this baby’s FB page and it looks like she hired a different local photographer to take her daughters pictures as well. Maybe she wasn’t as thrilled about the results as she claims to be in her review of the photographer.
Here is the image the real photographer took-
So seriously, I don’t want this girl harassed or anything, I just had to share some of these photography fails!!
