ParticipantEddie, CanonRox, and there was a third one. Who knows, the names keep changing. They were all originally emailed as “anonymous.”
How is this fun conversation, it’s not even coherent.
seth
ParticipantI said those three new commenting crazies here are the same, it’s clear from the subscription emails.

ParticipantI’m talking about the posts here, I’m not even bothering with the links. I have no idea what we’re even talking about.
seth
ParticipantReally??? This is completely incoherent.
seth
ParticipantAll three of those are the same person ROFL.
seth
ParticipantYeah man, that was pretty incoherent. Try again.

Participantawww man, I was really looking forward to slamming that “slander” line into the mud. bwahahahahaha if I had a nickel for every time someone yelled slander about something and threatened to sue… hilarious. Actually, misstiffanydbaby, I think that makes YOU a bully. Don’t be a pot calling the kettle black, dear.
In case you are really unsure what’s wrong with the basketball picture… first of all, selective coloring screams fauxtog all by itself. Secondly, it’s not even done right, if you are going to make the ball in color, that little bit of the rim needs to be in black and white, too. That just shows lazy editing. The ball itself isn’t even perfectly colored and being able to see that on Facebook means that’s pretty bad. The photo is EXTREMELY noisy and it is out of focus.

ParticipantAs for Recession… #1, stop giving photography businesses stupidly horrible names!
#2, I think that by “groupings” she means bride and groom with his parents, that’s one, bride and groom with her parents, that’s two, etc.
Sorry, I’ve not shot weddings before but I’ve assisted and um, I don’t think there’s time or what not to go, “ok Susie, you’ve had 5 groupings, let’s get to #6 now.” “Oh, sorry Billy, you’ve used all 30 groupings, no I cannot take a photo of you with your grandparents.” Crazy. I have NEVER heard of a photographer doing that. I’ve heard of time limits, yes, but not pose limits during wedding formals. Maybe I’m unusual but I haven’t.

ParticipantOh, I’m sorry, maybe they’ll go $20 an hour, after all they are “flaxible.”

Participantre: Craiglist
That IS a fauxtographer, no real photographer would expect another photographer to do that kind of work. And read again, they DO want the RAW (if she knows what RAW even is), says they want the original digital files without watermark so she can edit them herself.
Ridiculous. At least if they want to go this route they need to pay someone more than $15 an hour. Even if you’re not an experienced photog, a wedding for 12 hours is very draining and tiring.

ParticipantWell that statement contained a lot of sarcasm, of course there are lots of styles and what not. Of course a test could weed out the worst of the worst who can’t expose worth a crap or have neon colors or skies that are green, etc.
And for starters, how about blown highlights, flat lighting, selective color, neon green grass, etc. For example:

and I’m not even sure what this is supposed to be… HDR??? http://www.strikeaposestl.com/#!untitled/zoom/chc7/imageeij
and that’s just the wedding gallery
