I see iso issues with some of the child photos. Your cameras iso was set too high and I see color noise. A way around this is a faster lens to let more light in or add some artificial light to the scene by flash or hot lights so your iso can be lower.

Its useless to try and talk to people like that. I had a similar experiance with a local photographer but i commented on his website not his photos & out of no where he attacks my photos. Anyway after a point its best to just ignore them. If they dont want help dont try to give it. Though i linked to (http://digital-photography-school.com/how-to-hdr-photography) on one of the “hdr” photos.

Yep & with iphones and ipads it switches over to something else and the slideshow still works.

My website was made with zenfolio. It takes time to customize and get all the seo right but I love zenfolio for the client gallery features. Sarahashleyphotos.com is my website if you want to take a look.
Cameraclicker your idea is ok but I think it looks unprofessional to redirect to another website. With zenfolio they have a blog & selling features and if you set it up right it will say yourdomain.com all the way through the site.

Interesting. I should learn more about copyright.

Even if no one cares I still think its sketchy for a business owner to do that.

That is some pretty bad stuff you guys…

I dont want to link to this person’s page because she is a past client of mine =/

She decided she want to try it out I guess and has created the worst selective coloring photo I have ever seen:

    Anyway there is also: hsquaredphotoservices.com

The first image is completely out of focus and they claim to have 30 years combined experience in the field. I did notice that the images on their facebook page are a little better. It may just be a lack of creativity though because nothing wows me.

Like brown eye its in my contract that photos go in my portfolio and are used for marketing purposes. If a client really has a issue then I let them pick the photos that they will let me use. I have no problem removing a photo from my portfolio if a client asks.

I didn’t know they were a part of Mpix? It does not say so on their website. I really hate the program that you have to use to order though.

It is pretty awesome. I used to hate the print shop when I was a kid lol. To make things even sweeter we are located across the street from a pretty popular wedding venue in the area =) Anyway back to the topic… I have also used Millers for photo books before we were able to make our own. I like Millers too.

My family has been in the printing business forever (Used to be commercial but now we print for small businesses) so I use them. They print my books (My step mom does the hard binding with her family’s binding business) and prints up to 24″x36″. The only thing we do not have the material for (yet) is canvas. We also can not print on metal so I order those things from Mpix/Ivoke/Zenfolio. The printing company also has a account with carlson craft so that draws the engagement/wedding clients in with my x amount off of save the dates and/or invitations deals.

Her $50 session is only 30 min and only includes 5 watermarked images. I agree that her images are not the best though. Lighting is so important and so many people dont know anything about it.

If cost is a concern id go with the original Canon 5D and a L lens or two. I love my 5D and it was a big step up from my 40D. Though completely exhaust your current camera. If you can successfully do a shoot with it and for whatever reason need something better then upgrade. I had successfully shot many weddings with my Canon 40D.
