I like them, but the third one the background looks off. Not just out of focus but also blurry, I’m guessing you actually got a little pan as you took it? Its distracting, but I love the action and the look on her face.
reactiveloadParticipantI appreciate the feedback, I don’t care about it being harsh. I shoot low ranking military families who have to make every dime count, so for them photos that aren’t from a camera phone are a luxury. Out of curiosity do you have some links to your work so I can get an idea of where my pictures are failing?
reactiveloadParticipantAlright everyone, let’s calm down. Now, I do shoot RAW when I do pictures like these, and while I agree that Photoshop can make an okay shot decent, and a decent picture great, I think we can also agree that starting off with a better picture makes it easier. I grew up doing sports photography, particularly martial arts, so trying to do actual families and people that aren’t constantly moving is a challenge for me, which is why I’m more than willing to take criticism to help make myself better. In all this arguing, there are valid critiques, and I would like to thank those who gave them, but please, if you want to have a pissing match about film vs digital, and other crap, then do it somewhere else.
reactiveloadParticipantThanks for the input. It stbright off cloudy, so I thought I would be ok. Is their any tips for using as reflector when by yourself. I don’t sell my work, I just do photos for friends, so I can’t hire an assistant, and my funds are limited, at least until wills the Powerball.
