    I have a G+ business page merely for a bit of exposure.  I do not personally play with G+.  As I understand it, you do not need to be part of a group to make comments.  Any G+ member can leave comments anywhere about anything.  Could be wrong on the group stuff though.  And, as I understand it, the owner of a business page at least, cannot delete comments.  Hence many people avoid it as outright slanderous stuff cannot be deleted, merely refuted thus it can harm your business.  Anyway, if he has comments disabled, it’s a moot point.  Again, didn’t know you could do that either so might be a “group” thing.  That’s really a shame though I doubt anyone intentionally visits his junk anyway.  It all seems shady.

    I’ll hand lovefaithphotography one thing, she is consistent.  By that I mean she consistently has out-of-focus shots!  Hey, it’ll happen.  But you don’t show them to the world.  But to have sooooo many and then put them out there.  Now you’re just showing us why you’re worth what you charge.  She couldn’t get a focused shot of people moving to save her life (a lot of times not moving at all so that’s a real skill for sure).  But at least she’s passionate about photography.

    I don’t understand the obsession with taking decades off of the faces of people.  One of my least favourite things about brides though, and gotta love ’em but really, please buy the dress that suits your body.  You ladies are all beautiful on your wedding day but you are what you are and choosing a dress that does not give you back bulge  or cleavage can only be a good thing.  That said, I, and hopefully most, try to shoot to minimize the look.  But for this fella to actually show a “back bulge” before and after (drawing attention to the fact it exists) surprises me that it didn’t make the bride cry.  Because so many don’t even acknowledge it (and we as photographers should disguise it but not by manipulating it in photoshop let alone showing before and after).  Wow.

    No way.  You’re just making this up.  No one really did this.  Please tell me this isn’t a real photo handed to a real couple out there somewhere.  Please.

    @inkh3art3d…How did I miss that one?  Yep, the slimy green water is the important part of the shot so let’s highlight it by camouflaging the kid into the grass.

    @NoLoveLossless
    …What?  This photo of four guys’ asses isn’t liked five hundred times by her fans?  I’m shocked.  Shocked I say.

    Just another mediocre producing drone of thousands out there.  Meh.  Kudos to her though for not posting the shaky shots.  With a technique like this

    https://www.facebook.com/kathleensack/photos/pb.264654277749.-2207520000.1409319802./429543037749/?type=3&theater

    I’m shocked she has any pics at all that are sharp.  I ran into a friend of mine a few months back and she asked me to take some photos for their charity.  She also took a few and held the camera in this glorious fashion.  I asked if she’d mind if I told her how better to hold it.  Her percentage of sharp pics has risen dramatically and she constantly gets told by others she’s holding the camera wrong.  She tells them a pro told her to do it this way (left hand under and not gripping the lens like Kathleen here) and is slowly passing on the knowledge.  Too bad Kathleen hasn’t noticed, with the vast information available on the internet, the basics of holding a camera.  Again, kudos to her for still managing to get a few sharp ones.  Too bad they are mediocre anyway but that’s the way the world is headed in terms of photographic expectations.

    “All the photos are in Asian style so it can be a strange thing for you.”

    Not at all.  I can appreciate the attempts for bright skin and images that are full of light.  From your perspective (your culture), I think these are fine.  I would personally refrain from over editing (my culture), (trendy washed out look unless it’s a pic that begs for it) and duetch angles aren’t my thing though I’ve done some on occasion.  Emphasis on some.  I’ve seen many a photographer tilt nearly every shot in a wedding album.  It gets old after the third one for most, the first for myself.

    Budget Bridal takes the cake imho.  Who, just who, can photograph a wedding all day for $100?  And as NLL says, she doesn’t even have any pics of her own to show her abilities.  Why am I not surprised?  And yes, the one of the power lines is classic.  We don’t always get to choose our venue but even when these people do, they still include clutter!  THAT is what sets a faux apart from the rest.  The just don’t see it.  And more sadly, their customers rarely do if ever.  And the bar sinks ever lower….

    Only magicians are allowed to cut people into parts (senior shots).  It’s looks fun but then a second later you can’t help but look at the bodies cut into pieces.  Your subject should be in focus and importantly, when there is more than one person in the pic, they all should be in focus (unless it’s deliberate).  Flat and crappy lighting makes for flat and crappy photos.  After you learn to focus, you might want to expand your ability to use light, both available and artificial to create depth to your shots.  Not every shot needs to be soft and fuzzy.  Think a little more about your positioning too.  Note the engagement of Sierra on the steps.  Crotch shots are rarely attractive.

    You have potential.  Everyone has potential.  Not everyone took amazing shots from the day they picked up a camera and some had to work hard at it.  Working hard at it and then charging money will make you money.  Picking up a camera and charging money will get you facebook friends and likes but very little money.  Unless you’re ok with a few bucks here and there, become a photographer, don’t just say you’re one, then go out and really take some pictures that will wow people and get them to hand over real cash.

    I’ve quickly looked at the odd post and posted crummy photos on this site from time to time and I feel I ought to finally say something.  Now, I haven’t read every post in every thread so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s been said but, “it’s not the faux’s fault”.  Just plain nasty hurt-my-eyes and assault my senses crap isn’t necessarily the fault of the fauxs out there.  People actually love the results and praise them.  Why should they get better?  Case in point, NoLovelossless goes through some very nasty “product” by a faux who should be required by law to be prohibited from using a camera.  However, this was not her first wedding!  She has a raft of clients from weddings to boudoir.  And every one of these people, including their families, just fell in love with the results.  Hell, I’ve shot a massive number of weddings over the years myself with many many weddings at my own church.  The rug in the sanctuary is blue.  I’ve seen other photographer’s results where the rug is green.  Their clients did not notice.  Mine did but that’s a different story.  The point is, many people out there are more than happy to settle for garbage.  No doubt that Christina sucks massively but her customers love it.  The world has simply become a more pathetic place where garbage is praised.  And again, on the flipside, at least I don’t have to entertain emails and consults from these customers as they happily flock to people like Christina.
