Grunge goes beyond trying to capture the look and feel of film. It’s more the look and feel of a photo that’s been left uncovered in an attic and the emulsion gets cracked, chipped, stained etc. And don’t start me on Lomo and these people who think light leaks are artistic.

I googled the “New York Photography Institute” and came up with the New York Institute of Photography, an online correspondence course. Anyone really surprised?

America and Britain are two countries separated by a common language. ๐Ÿ˜‰

What slays me is when they have someone from Scotland on TV, and they put subtitles under him as he speaks. For crying out loud, he’s speaking English!

Second prize in the contest is two dinners with him. ๐Ÿ˜‰

FYI, I got blocked from his Incident Response page, so I can’t comment or “like” anything (as if he had anything I wanted to like). He also deleted my comment on his cheesy badge.

The badge definitely crosses the line. And, Browneyedgirl, I posted a comment on the picture asking if he had permission to use it. I’ll probably get added to his block list.

Browneyedgirl, they’re from Northern Georgia. These are folks who think “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” is high culture, are still mad about the “War of Northern Aggression” and think NASCAR should be an Olympic sport. Of course they’re going to think those crappy photos are wonderful.

I was up at Temple Square in Salt Lake City getting some spring shots of the Salt Lake Temple, and there was an apparent faux shooting wedding shots about 10 feet from me. She had theย  bride and groom standing on a planter box in shade with the temple in the background (sunny day, azure sky, not a cloud in sight), and I heard her tell them this: “The sky’s going to look all white, but I can put in any sky you want, with cumulus clouds or cirrus clouds.” It was all I could do to refrain from screaming “That’s what fill flash is for, you nitwit!”
