Imitation Is The Greatest Compliment… but i am sorry to hear, that you lost business over this whole thing. i believe you can report his FB page to FB, other than that i’d say get a real website, if you don’t have one, yet – FB photo resolution sucks anyway.
And maybe even talk to the guy. Then talk to a lawyer as well, if you have lost enough business to endanger your business.
HennyMParticipantoh, so it did post… silly forum
HennyMParticipanthttps://youarenotaphotographer.com/forums/topic/mad-at-you-people/
you should start reading and comprehending. i clearly said: “These are HDRs my husband took, […]”
HennyMParticipantok, again, nobody living of my family deleted anything here. the original post is still there:

HennyMParticipanthey Al, for some reason, my reply in the other post does not show, so to give you the peace of mind you deserve, you are not a psychic, but yor reading comprehension skills are apparently ZERO.

HennyMParticipantDude, i am sorry to say this, but i was here from the beginning. i have not deleted any posts and Michael, does not have my login info. so either you lay off the alcohol, put on your glasses or shut it, ok?
if you are talking about his deviantart thing, he deleted the photos you people critiqued, but isn’t something like this the whole purpose behind this site?
HennyMParticipantAl, this is like asking a book critic who gave a critique to write a better book. or someone who posts a one star review on Amazon.com about any product to make a better working product. Or a customer at a restaurant complaining about a chef’s work. you don’t have to be a chef to know, when the food isn’t great.
critics don’t need to be photographers on this site. A lot of people have some kind of esthetic value without having to have any artistic talent.
HennyMParticipantdid it say 100 different words?
HennyMParticipantAl jetpix, this is my husband’s portfolio. as i’ve said before, i am not a photographer and i do not have a portfolio. if you have any criticism, leave it for him there
EDIT:
we’ve already settled the copy/paste link thing, and i think we’re good on that – in another thread.
PS: my husband just said he wasn’t particular fond of those photos either. but as i said before, leave the critique on his deviantart account.
he wants me to let you know, that even if his earlier photos might not be the greatest, one of his recent work was just picked by nationalgeographic.com as “Pictures We Love: Best of July”
HennyMParticipantJetpix, I really like your photos. and congrats on moving to Europe (France i believe?).
HennyMParticipantlooked at a few of your photos, and i am very sorry, but you might want to get a tripod, i started feeling seasick looking at your wedding photos. also, why would anyone want to document a dog licking ice cream?
EDIT: looked at a few more and you should invest in one… or learn how to hold your camera straight. i believe if you can’t afford either, eve the free editing softwares have a feature to straighten photos.
HennyMParticipantis that a dead swan?
he should try submitting it to some photo contests… section: nature
EDIT:
Oh, wow, now i’ve seen the price tag. I REALLY NEED THIS PICTURE! ON MY WALL! LIKE NOW!EDIT2:
Is he only taking photos of dead animals or dead animal parts? and does he kill them himself?
HennyMParticipantwhy did they post in editing options etc.?
they confuse me.
HennyMParticipanti once heard “a great pose should not be comfortable”. maybe angle her legs a little to the side, so she’s somewhat kneeling and you can still see the lower legs?
the legless pose just struck me as really awkward and i felt a little sorry for the disabled girl
HennyMParticipanti’ve been taking photos as long as i can remember, and i did take one or two good ones, but i think i am in touch with reality enough, that i could not go pro, even if i wanted to, and even though our household has all the equipment needed.
And yes, i do the same thing, i tell my husband – the semi-pro-photographer with pro-equipment – if a shot is not worthy to be put in his portfolio or on our website – which is more my thing, even though i haven’t had too much time for this lately.
so yeah, go ahead and tell them, give them your piece of mind and if they can’t take criticism well, screw them.
did this make sense? i’m a bit sleep deprived…
