Not bad. Invest in some reflectors and hire an assistant to hold them. Your lighting is a bit flat.

No shame. That’s how they do it.

It’s not impressive? Looks pretty good for product photography to me.

I’d imagine you’d shoot it like any other wedding except you’d do two sets of “groom” shots or two sets of “bride” shots, depending upon situation. The couple and group shots should be the same.

If you were applying for an accounting job, you’d be expected to know the common accounting software. No difference here.

This isn’t a high end job. They don’t want to have to train someone on a new system. It’s not odd at all to ask for someone that’s worked with exactly what they use.

In a side note, they do some STUNNING product photography.

Gotta love how her husband buying her a memory card is “spoiling”. That poor sap has to put up with her bugging him to buy her kit lenses and new Wal Mart Rebels every day, I bet.

Some people deserve to be bullied. Fauxtographers that rip people off are on that list.

Because mass production is so conducive to creativity.

Maybe the other photographer isn’t so lazy as to worry about an extra couple pounds when shooting, so he uses a full size camera all the time.

The funny thing is this: The best photo in the catalog is the one someone else took of him.

The only thing I’d suggest is lightening up on the processing on the band shots. That band looks interesting enough without quasi-HDR filters applied to them.

As for the portraits, they’re technically pretty good. The posing is just a bit off. She should be looking into the camera more often.

So you’re not a faux if you’re not charging for these.

The term “mini session” screams “faux” to me. Am I crazy?

It’s fascinating to see this guy’s progression as a photographer. Wish more people would take the advice of others when it comes to learning photography.
