BreJPhotoParticipant
So I just logged on today after awhile, thanks for the input guys and gals.
And I didn’t have a great lens for low light, most where shot with an 18-200mm, I just picked up a Sigma 24-70 2.8mm though! Only $800 compared to the $2000 for the Canon. I am really liking it so far.
I also traded my 50mm 1.8 for the 1.4.I just went to my webpage, and it looks like it is running fine. So hopefully that was just a glitch that occurred?
BreJPhotoParticipantNo, I totally understand what you are saying, but I do consider myself a portrait photographer, yes I do other things as well, but portraits are my main thing and have been doing them for awhile now.
Thank you for the input. As far as recent assignments, for every tilt I do a straight on as well.
I was self taught at first, but I do have an associates degree in photography.BreJPhotoParticipantYeah, I pretty much do all of my editing in lightroom. I’ve been usuing photoshop for around ten years, great program, but I mostly use it for graphic design and beauty edits.
The tilt is intended, like I said, I have another photo almost the same that is straight on.
Yeah, I adore the 24-70, however on my camera it is pretty cropped. I’m looking to get some lens upgrades with my tax return.BreJPhotoParticipantThank you for the input everyone, I love the photo in the middle, but I totally agree on going strong in the middle.
BreJPhotoParticipantI think that you show promise.
When I was first starting out I just bought a white 99 cent white board for a reflector and it worked awesome until I got a real one. I know how to use pro lighting, but you can really do a lot with a 5 in 1 reflector.
Picking times of the day where the light is nice will help too. One hour before the sun sets is always great.
There seems to be some focus issues here and there, so just pay attention to that, I always try and focus directly on the eyes.BreJPhotoParticipantI have one of them that is a straight on shot as well. I personally like the tilt on this one, but everyone is different with what they like.
BreJPhotoParticipantYeah, the photo that you pointed out with the green cast is before I had a reflector, so I had some issues here and there, a slightly older photo.
I think I do about half and half tilted and straight on, I’ll definitely pay more attention to it more now.
As far as the likes thing, I personally think it’s a fun way to keep up with people and there work.BreJPhotoParticipantI think that you have a great eye. Especially when it comes to places. The color in your photos is gorgeous.
I would definitely say that you could charge for your work.
What are you using for light for portraits?BreJPhotoParticipantThanks for the feedback. And yes, I tend to do the tilt a lot. I try and take a lot of both types of photos, but maybe end up posting more of the tilted ones?
I do really like your use of color, it’s very warm and has a smooth feel to it.
I so wish I could afford a 5D. I make due with what I have which is a Canon t2i, 50mm, and 18-200. However I do rent the 24-70mm and the 16-35mm from time to time for wedding photography. -
