Can someone please delete the 13 pages of spam garbage on the Main YANAP Discussion Forum?! I’m wondering if it’s being done by someone who was spurned in another forum and getting their revenge by flooding the forum with a bunch of crap that does nothing but possibly annoy so many more others. Of course, if it bothers no one else, consider this an empty request.

Funny.  Great minds think alike.  The first person I thought of was the potty light lady.  They have knowledge of SEO and all that jazz, and it’s only happening in the forum where they posted.  Maybe trying to flood it to move their post down so it’s not as searchable and won’t show on YANAPs main page. I’m happy to see the majority of it has been deleted. I’m also hoping whomever is doing it will soon get bored with it and move on, but in the meantime, a quick glance at similar names with one post and one voice makes great use of the scroll wheel on my mouse. 🙂

These things are usually not people but rather an army of automated programs that register the accounts after they’ve broken how to register. They then continue posting all this garbage, usually with links to things. Often they won’t post links straight away but rather do some posts and then post links later as they can then evade some of the automated antispam measures
