@iliketag the editing on that “Ree Creations” one you posted is indeed a true nightmare! Makes me think of the effects I had on this one free phone app that I never ended up using (for a good reason – not even to share goofy pics with friends haha).
And the whole “Artography” thing. Ugh!

Thanks Alexandra! I was a little worried I might be missing something that made it good and would have seriously had to reconsider how I view things! I’m relieved :p

I think the thing about it that just makes me shudder is how utterly mid-west the whole thing is. It makes a little sad that that is considered really great work by a lot of people. I just don’t get it!

I think that about alot of the fauxs around.  I just want to scream out “YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR”.  I would like to view the work through their “fans” eyes once.

I think this fauxtog is just a whole new level of bad…
Setting aside bad editing, and equipment used (my “mobile uploads” album from 2009 contains far better quality photos than the ones on this page), I don’t think this person has a clue as to how composition works, how the angle at which humans are photographed is important, and of course the importance of good lighting…

Lois Ann is great!  You know you are dealing with a master photographer when the date and time are in the image instead of in the EXIF data.
