wtf
ParticipantMaybe they only got like 10 shots, so they needed to make double triples of each. LOL.

ParticipantI really wish ppl would learn compositing. The hands look strained and red…. 🙁 It only takes one hiccup one quick movement and then you’re on the business end of a lawsuit.

ParticipantUgh, this one advertises heavily that she does “high quality work” and does like contests for free shoots. I think like contests are SO STUPID!
And do these fauxtographers know anything about using light effectively? I mean the pattern across all of these is weird sun spots on the skin. There’s a thing called shade, and it’s available almost in any setting. And fill flash, and reflectors… all quite simple stuff. I am super picky about stray sun spots that if I do get one, I carefully edit it out (obviously you can’t though if it takes over half of their face.)

I wonder if that’s working for her. I thought it was a bunch of snapshots of family and friends mixed in with a bunch of clip art cards she found on the net, until I noticed July is a special month and she is offering discounts!

ParticipantOh wow! The timestamp in some of those images (as well as the photo quality) reminds me of a “Kodak Easyshare” camera I once had, that was worth about $50 at its prime… and yeah, the clip art really annoys me…

ParticipantWhat I find funny is that she just can’t seem to get that one last like so she can change the appearance of her page. (So she says.) I have seen more professional looking pages than this one with less likes on them. SMH. I agree with ya’ll. I can’t stand all of the clip art on her page. It doesn’t belong on a “professional” page.

ParticipantOh no a new one. BTW I love the cowboy boots with the uniform, I don’t think they are regulation though.

ParticipantCowboy boots? those are work boots.

ParticipantOk. Shoes are not my strong point. However thats really a moot point on this shot. Still looks like poop.

Participantwho cares about the ugly shoes? Just look at the angle of that fence

ParticipantWhat the hell happened there. I don’t care that the images are bad. I can deal with bad images, but what the hell is up with the layout and Betty Boop stuff??? I don’t know why, but its hit a nerve. I am so tired of this crap.
“I’m cute and creative and have a camera and you should let me take pictures of sports and babies and seniors and wedding and boop-oop-a-DERP”.
Wow, that was a strange exercise in venting… sorry…

ParticipantI like looking at photographers pages that my friends like on Facebook, because, for the most part, my friends have good taste, so I get to see good photographs. Today I noticed that my cousin’s wife had liked a photographer that’s near the town I grew up in, and I decided to check it out. It horrified me as a lover of photography and lover of graphic design.
Nothing screams fauxtog like bad spot color, weird, unnecessary angles, and yellow snow (not what it sounds like).
There is an occasional good image, so I like to think there’s hope for this person as a photographer. I don’t hold out as much hope for their improvement as a graphic designer.

Participant“I have an eye for perfection, [and] an excellent editing program”
I couldn’t find a facebook page or website for this one, but the 8 photos they posted were atrocious enough…
