Ha, Bill, I had to give that one a second look myself! I definitely saw “He raped me” at first glance. Kind of a cute idea but poorly executed and a tad cliche.
Here’s one I found tonight: https://www.facebook.com/fotografybyricki?pnref=story
I saw her page was suggested by someone on FB as being “great and reasonable.” Fist pic I see is a family standing in full-sun on railroad tracks. Just your typical fauxtog.
Scrolling down there are a few non-people shots that are somewhat interesting.
She uses her “cute” play on words, “Fotografy” in other places like “I fotografed his senior pictures!”
November 19, 2014 at 1:01 am #23189sethParticipantha yeah, that roped photo is classic. The family on the train tracks looks like they tried to use the Orton effect. No Bueno.
This one… https://www.facebook.com/jamesandandreaphotography?fref=photo 13.5k likes? really now…

I have a Rebel and kit lens with no flash. Not even a cheap reflector.
November 21, 2014 at 9:23 am #23215urkiddingrightParticipantNothing brings families together like fauxtography, strangulation, and signs naming parts of female reproductive systems.
November 21, 2014 at 11:15 am #23216picstopParticipantWow, urkiddingright…that is some find! I submit that you’ve found front page material here with “Honey, keep a lookout while I answer nature’s call”,
I’m also intrigued to know who the fella is in the background of this shot. A friend, an “ex”? Regardless, excellent job of an intimate moment where her face is hidden, along with her hands but as long as we got that guy in the background included, mission accomplished!
And yes, the pic you’ve highlighted is special too. I guess “sisters forever” or something was just too bland for them. And maybe not forever if she doesn’t loosen the grip on the neck. Yeesh.
November 21, 2014 at 2:35 pm #23217bananaslugsParticipantAwww lighten up. Not every wedding photo has to be so serious. I actually think the idea was cute and funny, although I agree it was VERY POORLY executed from a technical standpoint. The focus, lighting, and composition are terrible.
November 23, 2014 at 12:53 pm #23230urkiddingrightParticipant@ picstop : My eyes are burning…
@ bananaslugs: Fun wedding photos are ok, but pretending to strangle your sister is tacky, not funny and definitely not cute. They could have just made goofy faces or did something else that didn’t include………that.November 23, 2014 at 8:46 pm #23238semifrankParticipantOh my f… check this out.. she’s been talking for weeks about ‘pricing options’ http://bexkristiansen.wix.com/bkristiansenfantasy

here was the previous faux
December 4, 2014 at 6:34 pm #23311sethParticipantPeople should have to pass a licensing test to call themselves photographers.
How about this? http://www.strikeaposestl.com/

There are so many subjects and styles, how would you structure a test to determine who just doesn’t understand and who simply has different ideas about what art looks like?
How about this? http://www.strikeaposestl.com/
I’m not following. I didn’t look at all the photos but saw lots I thought were pretty reasonable. What are you seeing?
I can’t find a large version of this, but I think I would like it:
December 4, 2014 at 10:23 pm #23313MrsManiakParticipantI live near a military town where every military wife is a “photographer”. Every time I see an “ISO photographer” post in a sales group I play “spot the fauxtog”. Found one worth sharing today:
December 4, 2014 at 10:57 pm #23314sethParticipantWell that statement contained a lot of sarcasm, of course there are lots of styles and what not. Of course a test could weed out the worst of the worst who can’t expose worth a crap or have neon colors or skies that are green, etc.
And for starters, how about blown highlights, flat lighting, selective color, neon green grass, etc. For example:

and I’m not even sure what this is supposed to be… HDR??? http://www.strikeaposestl.com/#!untitled/zoom/chc7/imageeij
and that’s just the wedding gallery
