booo, gone already
February 10, 2014 at 11:46 pm #16413Wicked LotusParticipantOh where to start. Okay so I can’t pick just one or even a few…or 10 for that matter. They are all terrible. https://www.facebook.com/LadyRebelImages
While I was out shooting one night, I had the “pleasure” of speaking with this woman. She uses a point & shoot. Oh & her “amazing editing” comes from ribbet.com. My boss was there that night too. Told me I had to be professional & nice. Boo.
February 11, 2014 at 12:21 am #16414inkh3art3dParticipantLove her frames/effects. Very classy and elegant.
February 14, 2014 at 7:46 am #16551Worst Case ScenarioParticipantSo WTF is happening over on the main discussion page??
Any way this one has a little story, I found this guy on face book.
His stuff is pretty meh… at best, way to much skin softening resulting in the scary eyes look. But I first discover his personal page which has more logo designs than actual pictures but plenty of awful shots as well. This one real caught my eye..
plus his page has tantalising glimpses of his website which looks well worth a mention, but I can’t find it. I did how ever find a completely different Robert Kelly Photography and he’s EVEN WORSE!
February 14, 2014 at 5:37 pm #16569nesgranParticipantwowsers, robert kelly was truly special. Not in a good way though, more like speshul
February 16, 2014 at 1:11 am #16632DSLR newbieParticipantI hope this wasn’t a real road: https://www.facebook.com/217672734955238/photos/pb.217672734955238.-2207520000.1392530338./438261872896322/?type=3&theater
February 16, 2014 at 4:59 pm #16653nesgranParticipantnice find, I wonder what the faux was thinking. “I know, there is this nice hill that will make a backdrop with leading lines, I’m sure the cars will see the girl before they run her over”
February 19, 2014 at 10:00 pm #17076MGParticipantThis one targets low income familys by running competitions for free sittings then selling to people who don’t win.
and this one just doesn’t have a clue and probably doesn’t pay tax
February 19, 2014 at 10:00 pm #17077MGParticipantAnd another who has been in business for a long time and was even featured in an advertising thing for small businesses wanting funding
February 21, 2014 at 6:48 am #17143Worst Case ScenarioParticipantMG – love the shot of the two babies its like they came up with a crap idea and then found away to make it twice as bad!
This one’s not the worst – but they are trying!!
February 21, 2014 at 1:58 pm #17151joehomeownerParticipantHow do you all feel about this sorta thing?

Overuse of wide angle, I guess? The people end up looking like little people because they get squished down. I keep seeing photos like this of weddings and other events online and it seems really bad to me. Is this becoming a popular thing for some reason?
February 21, 2014 at 5:43 pm #17154nesgranParticipantA shot or two, especially with a playful one like this I think a fisheye/extreme WA can work well. Personal taste I suppose, I’m for example very fond of 200mm for lots of things
February 23, 2014 at 5:25 pm #17260alexandraParticipantA friend of mine ‘liked’ one of those ‘like ladder’ pages, so I decided to go through all those leaving their pages in the comments suspecting some gems to be hiding within, and of course within a minute I came across this one…
Let’s start with this totally legit-looking background swap of the fauxtog herself:
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=390575600996625&set=pb.331160630271456.-2207520000.1393194017.&type=3&theaterGaussian blur background with extremely terrible masking:
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=542141932506657&set=pb.331160630271456.-2207520000.1393187559.&type=3&theaterWas this supposed to be an attempt at making a reflection effect?
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=576832175704299&set=pb.331160630271456.-2207520000.1393193354.&type=3&theaterIt seems there’s someone else’s watermark in the bottom left corner in addition to this fauxtog’s own:
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=491592967561554&set=pb.331160630271456.-2207520000.1393193670.&type=3&theaterFebruary 24, 2014 at 12:05 am #17261fstopper89ParticipantTo Michelle Lee- Step away from the Photoshop!
Why is it that so many of these fauxtogs spend so much time making ridiculous “graphic design” alterations to their photos when they could better spend that time researching/learning how their camera works (I mean, a shallow DOF is much easier to achieve in-camera than doing all that terrible gaussian blur later) or practicing?
February 24, 2014 at 4:36 pm #17293emfParticipantLOL! That ladybird one is bloody terrifying! ‘Giant Ladybird Eats Baby Shocker!!
