ParticipantThe two first baby photos at least have proper white balance… but what is with using a folded-and-unfolded piece of pink tissue paper as a backdrop, for crying out loud? The third baby one looks like she ran an action on it but softened the face way too much to the point it looks like a doll. Those couple photos look like they were shot with a point-and-shoot, with the weird wide angle distortion it appears to have and the fact that everything is on the same focal plane.
Fauxtogs make money because they are so cheap and they get clients that are bargain-hunters and don’t even care about quality.

Participantyou’re cute, amber. but if you read on my page it says it’s a hobby & i don’t charge, most of these photos are my friends, but you really shouldn’t be so worried ab me, worry ab yourself 🙂

ParticipantThis is a pretty hypocritical statement here!! I’ve seen plenty photo’s from this PHOTOGRAPHER and not oncehave I found ANY flaws!!! Keep taking gorgeous photos! You know you’re doing a great job to have haters when someone feels the need to put your stuff on blast!

You don’t know what I do, and clearly didn’t even know that I don’t charge, you’re not the queen of photography like you seem to think you are, people can have hobbies, it’s okay, calm down and do your own thing. stay in nashville, and quit worrying ab what’s going on down here where you aren’t. you don’t have to look at my page. it would be awesome if you would delete this.

And I was going to delete it to be nice but there is no way for me to do it. If there is I haven’t found it yet.

I personally think instead of talking about how bad you thought the pics were, why don’t you try being polite & give her some advice if you’re such a good photographer? And just so you know, my granddaughter is NOT a goddamn baby like you said she is!!!! She is a beautiful gift from God!!!

Some of it is pretty good, don’t get me wrong, but lots of white balance issues and composition/background issues, and some images within the same shoot are very inconsistent. Not saying you can’t get better, but calling someone who does it as a hobby a fauxtographer when your own stuff isn’t much better is kind of childish. No, I didn’t like some of the hobbyist’s work, but technically if she isn’t charging she is not a fauxtographer. Maybe she’s in the process of learning so that she may get to that point.
February 5, 2013 at 3:38 pm #6280ParticipantI will not lie, at first I was like yeah I am gonna charge and do this, but then I stepped back and realized that I do not need to because I need lots of work and I have no idea how to run a business and truly don’t even want to try, I have always enjoyed taking photos since I was very young and it’s just something I do for fun. This girl always seems to target me, and it’s getting annoying.

Your photo are amazing, not ONE PHOTOGRAPHER will have the same form of picture taking. Regardless of your school title your photos are amazing! Pitting people on blast is just down right immaturity!
February 5, 2013 at 4:02 pm #6285ParticipantI’m not one to criticize anyone, and that’s not my style.. I do what I like, and if other people don’t like it, they have the option not to look. And that’s my view on it. But thanks girls, it means a lot that people stand up for what I like to do.
