just another one looking for a critique……I cant actually be a “fauxtog” since I do not make $ from my art……but is it “art”? do I have hope? the vast of my work is taken on 35mm film, shot with a canon rebel 3000(the only slr I own)….I have spent countless hours reading, observing, and shooting all realms of photography, it is more of an obsession to me than a hobby(friends of mine may even call it an addiction). I don’t know how to use photoshop, or light room….there is no way for me to obtain a fancy dslr, or nicer lenses, I try to do the most with what I got. I would appreciate any feedback….on my work, or on how to further my dream.
I would leave a link if I knew how(computers are not my strong suit)

For those of you that don’t wish to search lolI actually love a lot of your shots! There are a lot of uninteresting photos though, but that’s probably because I don’t know the people in them.
As a hobbyist you are fine. You have a very unique style (I don’t know if that’s intentional or due to the film you’re choosing [I have almost no experience with film photography])Few of my favs:

October 17, 2013 at 6:53 pm #14470BillParticipantI would have to say, if you were a faux, I would have not scrolled through the images. I usually give it 5 images and if there is not 1 that draws me in, I quit.
Some are nice, some are boring, some just not sure and some I love. Looks like you have a tendency to shoot at low shutter speeds or using the wrong speed film for the scene your are shooting a lot of time. I grew up on film and have used a lot of the major brands and a lot of the various speeds.
Some of the photos I thought would have been better if there were a tad sharper and in focus, like this one. Some of them are way too grainy for the scene, like this one, but that may be what you were going for, not sure., looks like the old Kodak T-Max P3200.
Some of the shots I liked were the more organic ones:
October 17, 2013 at 7:07 pm #14472lynn_hannaParticipantI had an obsession with that 3200 (illford, not that it matters) a few years back….and have since grown out of it. ive never had schooling so I spent a lot of time and money experimenting. I am happy that the ones you liked were some of my most recent, which can only mean im getting better(I hope). thank you for taking the time to view my work.
