cass335@iliketag: The best response to handle that is: Each wedding is different and I decide pricing based upon what I am expected to shoot for the day. I would be happy to discuss your day and your expectations for photographs, and then decide a price. I will completely understand if you decide that my pricing does not work for you and that you want to choose another photographer.
As for shooting for friends, I won’t discount my wedding prices, but I do discount family photos. Weddings are just too long of a day to do as a gift for a friend. Family I don’t mind helping out for weddings, because I make it clear that at some point (after the important shots) I am going to put my camera down and enjoy the reception.
