Wait… I guess if you were, you couldn’t answer in the affirmative anyway. So it’s kind of like one of the ultra-double-negatives… as in when Bill Clinton was questioned by Congress about Lewinsky:
Q: Is it your position that you did not want to have sexual relations with her?
A: Well, I didn’t not want to answer, but then it occurred to me that if your compound question wasn’t previously not broken down into its component parts, it would depend upon what the meaning of the word “is” is in the second to last question you asked.
Q: Huh?
