The issue isn’t really about the guns in that photo, it’s the odd placement and movement of the elements in the photo. The baby is lying there peacefully, while the parents look ready to ambush someone. Just doesn’t fit!

Side note- I do plan on getting my concealed carry permit and buying a small revolver pistol. For me being a young woman, it might be smart to have it with me at times. As a photographer, there are times I go on-location and meet with people that I don’t know prior, and I would feel extra safe if I had protection. Heaven forbid people have ill intentions, but several years ago in WI, actually in the county northeast of mine, a young woman photographer went to a man’s property where he was running some sort of auto salvage. She was there to take photos for the Auto Trader magazine, and disappeared. After hearing that was the last location she was known to be at before her disappearance, the property was searched and bone fragments were found in a burn bin. Later DNA evidence proved she was raped, murdered, and burned by this man and assisted by the man’s mentally-challenged nephew. It makes you wonder, had she had a weapon or some way to defend herself, would this have turned out differently? I think so, but there are always many factors that play into that sort of thing. That story kind of hits home for me though since I’ve found myself in a few slightly uncomfortable situations as a photographer, though not quite uncomfortable enough to leave, if that makes sense.
