Wololo’s post is exactly what I’m talking about saying people need to use discretion on what they link here. Courtney’s photos are merely some personal photos… not in any way portraying herself to be a portrait photographer. That link doesn’t at all belong here. So, if one of you go onto my personal FB page and find a bunch of random photos, many which were taken with my cell phone (which takes pretty crappy pictures now that the phone camera lens is all scratched up) and say that these photos are all a “crock of shit” or whatever? While I post lots of my nature photos and some portraits of my friends on my personal page, anything there isn’t supposed to reflect what I do professionally with my portraits for clients who hire me.

Nice, they can’t even spell “scheduling” right: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=609641135718223&set=o.537315529633516&type=3&theater

Uh, this is just awful. You’re supposed to tactfully hide the private parts of a baby, not slap clip art over them. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=544305475601188&set=a.544305392267863.123637.537315529633516&type=3&theater

I really had no clue who was who without the labels: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=544305778934491&set=a.544305392267863.123637.537315529633516&type=3&theater

People actually paid for this? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=540803905951345&set=a.540803239284745.123120.537315529633516&type=3&theater

K&B Love’s info says it all: “I starting taking pictures of my son and fell in love with this. I will do new borns, materinity, children, family, gradutations, weddings, and any holiday pictures.
call to scheduale today @…”

Is this the Southern Belle people were talking about? This one is a personal FB page style where they meant to make a page. I mean really? https://www.facebook.com/southernbelles.photography.3?ref=ts&fref=ts

Exit 10 has a handful of good images, but way too many also that are out-of-focus or not technically sound. Or, even good ones, with poor composition. A lot of her work is inconsistent too with the white balance and exposure, even within the same session. Every session will have a little bit different lighting situation, but you have to work with that right. She has a few sessions where it was very sunny out and the people have direct sun in their faces or harsh shadows. Easy way to fix that is to photograph them in a shadowed area, like the other side of a building or in a park with decent tree coverage. I’ve done that countless times. She has potential, but has too many flaws for me to ever want to hire her.

I agree with kbee. You should be able to produce solid work that people will be proud to display on their wall. Not something with a neon pink frame and words typed right on the photo, or something dark or out of focus. I just still can’t believe people will pay for that shit!
