Also, does it bother anyone else as much as it bothers me – when they make an ad/announcement/collage, and they resize the image disregarding its original proportions?
Only when it’s not done well. Try taking a full body photo of someone standing, or a waist up portrait, then squeeze it 3 to 5%, just for kicks, try about 10%, too. Done well, no one will notice and your subject will appear taller and thinner, but not obviously so, they will just look better. Over done, they will look odd, so you have to be careful or you get something like C&B Lawrence produces.
Wow! I just saw that last one! How can anyone think that is good?
