Is it just me, or would the rest of you have used capitalized blocks for ALL the letters-assuming you’d use the blocks at all (overdone)? I’m trying to ignore the rest of it… oh, let me count the ways…
The lettering is inconsistent – they’re all lower case except for the “O.” Why would you do that? I have never seen real baby blocks in anything but caps anyway.
The first problem with blurry baby: one of the baby’s eyes is actually in focus. This makes the blurriness even creepier.
Second problem: the other eye isn’t lit. You don’t want a black gaping hole where your baby’s eye is supposed to be.
Third problem: the pose leaves the baby’s right arm with a “severed” appearance. This is a fundamental rule of photography and I spend far too much time following it to not mention it.
I agree with you Don!! If fauxtographers didn’t want their work to be looked at, then they shouldn’t put the photos online. They’re nowhere near ready to call themselves ‘professional’ and have a business and people need to let them know that. Tactfully, mind you, but they need to be told.

Looking at the black-grey combination, pose and expression the first thing that comes to mind when I see this is… dead baby….
Maybe if there was a gore metal band called Cole he could sell it for an album cover!
LisaBE
Gag!
ashley
as a baby photographer. worst baby pose ever. its like they threw him on the floor and said “good enough.”
thank you Geekcr i will now be starting a gore metal band so i can use this picture. ahahahhahaa.
Sam
looks like it is for the “now I lay me down to sleep”” charity

The blocks aren’t even real… the blocks are, the lettering is shopped. Likely a picnick-style app
lora
That’s what I was thinking, the letters looked added in. Ugh.

Travis
This is simply horrid. I don’t think even a mother could love this image.
Henny
what about the fauxtog’s mom?
sharon g
Looks like a zombie baby.
Aaron
maybe the zombie baby from dawn of the dead movie. kinda creeping me out just a bit.
sandriux
the horror……..
Janet S
Because the letters on the blocks are SO much more important than the baby!
Wsroadrunner
Grey looks like death… makes the baby appear dead. I think fauxtogs hate babies.
They also don’t know how to actually use their auto-focus, let alone manually focus of set white balance.
Nicely done sunshine. NOT
H
Looks like a dead baby……………………………not good :-/
Tim
I don’t care for the OOF thing either.

Start naming names. Please. Think of it as a public service.

Each time a look at the pictures shown at this site I get so much happier about my own photography…
I don’t think I would ever have come up with the above concept but now I know for sure what it would have looked like. C R A P .
Kelli
Even the baby appears to be thinking, “are you kidding? At least pose me! It’s hard to control this head!”
JD
My dogs name is Cole. LMAO
Frankie
ahh yes!!!!! The building blocks to failure!
Grimoire
I love the double outline. It looks like the fauxtog tried to fix the bad focus job in post by running a heavy dose of the “sharpening” filter.
MDS
the thing that freaks me out is that the one eye seems to be more in focus than the rest of the baby
Ann
LOL, stupid dead baby photobombed a nice photo of child’s blocks.
tara
Laughed so hard at this.
